Family Law
We advise individuals on divorce, financial settlements, arrangements for children and the protective orders sometimes needed in cases involving domestic abuse — with a constructive, child-focused approach wherever possible.
On divorce and finances, we advise on the no-fault divorce procedure, financial disclosure, pension sharing, business and property assets, consent orders and contested financial remedy proceedings.
On children matters, we advise on Child Arrangements Orders, Specific Issue and Prohibited Steps Orders, relocation cases and the involvement of Cafcass and the local authority where applicable.
We also draft pre- and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and separation agreements, and seek non-molestation and occupation orders in cases involving domestic abuse.

Frequently asked questions
- How long does a divorce take?
- Under the no-fault procedure, a straightforward divorce typically takes 6–8 months from application to Final Order, but financial and children matters often run alongside on their own timetable.
- Are pre-nuptial agreements enforceable?
- Pre-nuptial agreements are not automatically binding in England and Wales but the courts give them significant weight if they are properly drafted, freely entered into and meet both parties' needs.
- Do you offer fixed fees?
- Yes — we offer fixed fees for defined stages such as uncontested divorce, consent orders and pre-nuptial agreements. Contested matters are normally charged on an hourly basis with a clear estimate.
